The problem started when Kazeem married another wife shortly after the new wife claims Ladi was the reason she was not able to conceive a child , the new wife also said that her cloth and other house hold items got missing and Ladi is the alleged suspect to have attacked her spiritually , This made Kazeem her ex-lover to send her packing , sending her back to her fathers house . Some month later , Kazeem went back to Ladi to beg her to return back to his house , Then Aladi’s family refuse because they knew he was maltreating their daughter , Then Aladi’s family leave him with a condition than to marry her properly before they can release her back .
Kazeem agreed to marry her and while he was preparing for the marriage rites he rented an apartment for Aladi and set up a small fruit business her and she started selling fruit at Bishop Junction a popular area in Idah . It was later learnt that Kazeem was no longer interested to continue with marriage after promising to marry her earlier . Aladi who was saving money to seek for admission to the university. Kazeem approached her and demanded that she pack out of the apartment he rented for her and threatened to deal with her and also would destroy her beauty if she refuse to pack out , Kazeem who also met with the land lady he rented the house from, urging her to send Aladi’s packing but The landlady was said to have informed him that she could not send her away because she has renewed the house rent on her own . Two weeks later, it happened. Aladi said it was around at midnight when aladi was sleeping at home with her niece staying with her. Kazeem came to her house in the middle of the night and attacked her with acid , Kazeem was later arrested but released three days later after his family agreed to pay the medical bills for Aladi who is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, Kogi State.
Over N300,000 has been spent on her treatment. Part of which she has collected loan of N100, 000 along with the money from sympathizers who has also assisted her . The doctors treating her stated that there are two other surgeries to be carried out aside the fact that her right eye had been lost and the right ear eaten by the acid. Aladi’s vein which was not found in her hand , the doctors who had no other option than to pass the drips through her leg , and it would be a miracle if she is able to step on her fit to walk again .
