The Former Head Of State Muhammadu Buhari has become the
first Nigerian History To Win The president Election .
The All Progressives Congress (APC) party won 21 state in the country while PDP won a
15 state out of the 36 state in Nigeria . Buhari delivered a crushing defeat to
Jonathan, winning 1.9 million votes to Jonathan's 215,800. The Top Nigerian
Leaders Congratulates Him On His Victory ,This puts him in charge of
Africa's most populous nation and its biggest economy.
The 72-year-old former military general defeated the incumbent
president , Buhari has contested four
presidential elections since, and describes himself as a "converted
democrat."
Jonathan’s past five
years in office was with numerous corruption scandals and an insurgency by the
Boko Haram group Who Killed Many Nigerians In The Northern Part Of Nigeria. Nigeria's 170 million people are divided almost equally
between Christians mainly in the south and Muslims, like Buhari, who dominate
the north. In this election Buhari for the first time won states in the
southwest and even took one-third of votes in a southeastern state
During the compilation of result by the chairman of INEC Chief
Attahiru Jega, The Former Niger Delta
minister Godsday Orubebe accused elections chief Attahiru Jega of being
"partial" and "selective". Orubebe claimed Jega had refused
to investigate PDP complaints about big wins by Buhari in northern states but
had launched a probe into claims by the APC of irregularities in Rivers. Godsday
Orubebe’s Wikipedia profile got updated
that he attempted to disrupt 2015 general election result announcement on March
31. Godsday Orubebe Who Later apologized to all Nigerians for his shameful act during
the release of elections results in Abuja. He said he regretted that he allowed
his emotion to betray him.
The agent of the PDP, Bello Fadile, who was in attendance
when parties were being called upon to sign the result sheet, told journalists
shortly after the result was declared that the party was not satisfied with the
outcome of the election and had decided to challenge it at the election
tribunal.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated Gen
Buhari on his victory today. In a message released this evening, Chief Obasanjo
asked the President-in-waiting to fight corruption when he assumes office. Bola
Tinubu, the APC Chairman expressed his joy over the outcome, characterizing
Buhari’s victory as the beginning of the new era in the political history of
Nigeria

Nigerians who have made this day possible. Our country has now joined the
community of nations that have used the ballot box to peacefully change an
incumbent President in a free and fair election. To me this is indeed historic”
