A newborn baby was found abandoned in a public toilet bin with its umbilical cord still attached.
Shocking pictures show the moment the infant was pulled out of the mini waste basket covered in blood.
The baby’s placenta was also left inside the bin, and the mother was nowhere to be seen.
The child, whose gender was not reported, was found after a woman heard the infant’s faint cries and went into the public bathroom to investigate.
Incident took place in May at a shopping centre in China.
MirrorUK reports the baby was squashed inside a tiny dustbin which is used to discard used toilet paper.
The frightened middle-aged woman who found the baby reported the discovery to staff and security guards at the shopping centre, and the police were called soon after.

According to local authorities, the child was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is not in any life-threatening condition.
The police said they were looking for the infant’s mother, but so far no reports have surfaced as to her whereabouts.
