Saidi Balogun Confirms Moji Olaiya’s Sudden Death

The 42 year old actress passed away in Canada this morning.

Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has confirmed the death of his friend and colleague Moji Olaiya who passed on this morning in Canada.

Speaking to our correspondent on the telephone, Balogun said he is still in shock at the passing away of Olaiya.

‘This is sad, really sad. Moji is dead.

I just spoke to one of her people in Canada. The person was just crying and crying so it’s hard to get the exact details from her right now, ‘he said.

We sought to know if she was nursing an illness that could have led to her untimely death, Mr. Balogun said he didn’t know for sure. ‘As you know, she just had a baby two months ago. I’m suspecting there may have been some complications but I cannot say much for now. I will have to speak to you later.’

 

The late actress who was one of highlife icon Victor Olaiya’s daughter, cut her teeth as part of Wale Adenuga’s Super Story prodcution. She was also known for her roles in movies such as No Pains No Gains, Sade Blade, Nkan Adun and Omo Iya Meta Leyi among several others.
